[E] Bugs are fixed. =========================== ViPNet SafeDisk version 3.0 05.03.2007 =========================== [+] Special wizards were developed to facilitate all the necessary actions in ViPNet Safe Disk: Wizard for containers creation, mounting and formatting; Wizard for container back up copy and container keys creation (container export); Wizard for container import; Wizard for configuration creation and recovery. [*] Program’s interface is significantly improved: all the necessary commands are brought on the toolbar and buttons disposition exclude the possibility of unwanted operations by inexperienced user. [+] It is now possible to switch promptly to protected documents and continue editing them right from ViPNet Safe Disk program main window (main menu “Container\Open”). [+] A special feature for a handy sensitive data transportation by means of container export file is now added. First, the container export should be fulfilled, and then container import from export file. Container’s export file includes a backup copy of container keys and a container file itself. [+] To increase reliability there are several ways to restore the lost access to the sensitive data, which are quick and trouble-free: - If the access to all the containers is lost, the most rapid way to restore it is to use the Configuration Recovery Wizard. - If the container with confidential information is lost itself, it can be restored by making import from container export file, which should be created in advance. [+] Program’s icon in a system tray changes its appearance depending on whether the access to the confidential information is currently opened or closed (container is mounted or unmounted). [+] In case of urgent disconnection or confidential information liquidation, ViPNet Safe Disk conceals all the signs that may reveal user actions, even Safe Disk’s icon disappears from the system tray. [+] A special button for data urgent liquidation can now be displayed on the user desktop. It allows to kill confidential information instantly in case if the malefactor is approaching. [+] ViPNet Safe Disk is now supplied with a Wiping utility, which reliably erases sensitive data from user's PC. It is now possible to remove all the remaining components of erased files even if they were deleted by means of the standard operating system tools. This feature excludes the possibility of data recovery by the malefactor. [*] Demo period of ViPNet Safe Disk is expanded to 30 days. =========================== ViPNet SafeDisk version 2.9 (4.1404) 06.12.2005 =========================== [+] The possibility of containers auto-mounting after launching Safe Disk Program is added. [+] The addition of possibility to mount containers for read only, without a scope of information modification. [+] Auto-unmounting of all mounted containers after exiting the program is actualized. [+] Auto-unmounting of all mounted containers after the expiry of a certain time-out preset by user is actualized. Time-out is set for disc operations such as reading or writing in the file. This file can become necessary in the case of program reinstallation (for example, in the case of reinstallation the program in a different folder or after the formatting of a disk, on which Safe Disk was installed). Information on registration data (serial number, computer code, registration code etc.) is also registered in a registration log - reginfo.txt file. The information in this file can be used for a manual program registration after its reinstallation (in the case of sd.brg file loss). [+] AES algorith is now supported. [+] Containers, created by ViPNet Safe Disk on your PC, can be transported on a Pocket PC and then transported back. To do so a special program have to be installed on the Pocket PC - ViPNet SafeDisk Mobile. [+] iKey 3000 support is added for the protection key storage.
